Niger seedoil is acquired from the seeds of niger plant, which belongs to the Asteraceae
ancestors and of the Guizotia genus. Niger seeds resembles sunflower seeds in
shape, but is abate in admeasurement and black. It bears a adequately thick,
adherent seed covering and can be stored for up to a year after deterioration.
Niger is an oilseed crop that is able mainly in Ethiopia and India. The breed
constitutes about 50% of Ethiopian and 3% of Indian oilseed production.
