About Anti-MPO (myeloperoxidase)

Product name:  Anti-MPO (myeloperoxidase) Specification:  100ul/200ul/1ml
  Host:  Rabbit
  Source:  Human
  Immunogen:  Purified human granulocytic MPO.
  Specificity:   Recognizes human myeloperoxidase (MPO).
Applications:  Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Storage and Stability:  May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months.
Description: Myeloperoxidase is an important enzyme used by granulocytes during phagocytic lysis of engulfed foreign particles. In normal tissues and in a variety of myeloproliferative disorders myeloid cells of both neutrophilic and eosinophilic types, at all stages of maturation, exhibit strong cytoplasmic reactivity for MPO. Erythroid precursors, megakaryocytes, lymphoid cells, mast cells, and plasma cells are nonreactive. MPO is not observed in the neoplastic cells of a wide variety of epithelial tumors and sarcomas. MPO is useful in differentiating between myeloid and lymphoid leukemias.
Important Note:  This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological.

What is Lp-a ELISA Kit

  Product name:  Lp-a ELISA Kit
Advantages:  Calibrated against a highly purified, fully validated
Storage:  Store all components at 2-8 degree Celsius with the exception of the standard, which should be stored frozen.
Description: Lipoprotein(a) [Lp(a)] is an atherogenic lipoprotein particle formed by assembly of LDL particles and apo(a) bound to apoB-100 component of LDL . Apo(a) is the main constituent of Lp(a), has serine proteinase activity and is able of autoproteolysis . Apo(a) has 4548 amino acids, variable sizes from 200 to 700 kDa, multiple isoforms, and structural homology with plasminogen . It competes with plasminogen for its binding site, inhibiting tissue-type plasminogen activator 1 and leading to reduced fibrinolysis . The mean Lp(a) protein level ranged from 78 to 175 μg/ml depending on populations and the risk threshold is 300 μg/ml. High level of Lp(a) in blood is a risk factor for myocardial infarction (MI), coronary heart disease (CHD), cerebrovascular disease (CVD), atherosclerosis, thrombosis, and stroke .
Immunoassay for quantitative determination of human lipoprotein(a) in serum or plasma.
Dilute each serum or plasma specimen to be tested 1:400 with the Lp(a) specimen diluents provided. (Serum specimens with high Lp(a) levels should be diluted more than 1:400 for accurate Lp(a) determination.) A pre-dilution using PBS (phosphate buffer) may be done followed by a final dilution in specimen diluents to bring the serum or plasma final dilution to 1:400.

About Jo-1 ELISA Kit

Product name:   Jo-1 ELISA Kit Category Name:   Autoimmune Disease kits
ELISA method:  Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay
Detection Range:   Qualitative elisa assay- Positive, Negative and Cut-off
  Specificity:  99%
  Sensitivity:  100%
  Total Time:  60 min
  Shelf Life:  12 months
Description: The Diagnostic Automation Jo-1 ELISA kit is intended for the detection and semi-quantization of antibodies to Jo-1 in human sera. The assay is to be used to detect antibodies in a single serum specimen. The results of the assay are to be used as an aid to the diagnosis of autoimmune disease. This is for in vitro diagnostic use.
Circulating antibodies to intra-cellular structures especially to nuclear antigens represent a characteristic feature of Jo-1 ELISA systemic autoimmune diseases. One of those antigens, Jo-1 (Aminoacyl-tRNA Synthetase), was first described in the serum of a myositis patient. A large number of patients with anti-synthetase syndrome suffer from interstitial lung disease, Raynaud’s Phenomenon, mechanic’s hands and arthritis. Anti-Jo-1 antibodies are strongly associated with isolated anti-Ro52 antibodies.
