what is Lactococcus

Shape description: cells were spherical or oval, 0.5 ~ 1.2μm × 0.5 ~ 1.5μm, in the liquid medium in

pairs and short chains. Can not have spores, Gram-positive. No movement, no capsule. Facultative

anaerobic. Technology can be heterotrophic fermentation metabolism, with some carbohydrate fermentation

acid to L (+) – lactic acid-based, no gas. Complex nutritional requirements, contact-negative, oxidase

negative. Optimum temperature 30 ℃, 10 ℃ in growth, no growth at 45 ℃, 0.5% NaCl, usually Lancefield

serogroups N. Found in dairy products and plant products.
